Central District Conference of Mennonite Church USA

Description: We are an urban congregation rooted in the Anabaptist-Mennonite faith heritage. We want our life together to be a contemporary interpretation of the unique life and ministry of Jesus, whom we seek to follow. Our mission is to continue discovering life in Christ, to invite others to share in that life, and to seek and respond to opportunities for service. Membership and full participation are open to all who feel drawn to Christ and his teachings, without regard to sexual orientation, gender, socio-economic status, ethnicity or race.
Founded: 1987
Members/Covenanted Attendees: 120
History: Madison Mennonite Church was formed out of a fellowship group. For a number of years the fellowship group was made up of Mennonite students who came to the University of Wisconsin for graduate studies. When some students stayed and several Mennonite and Brethren families moved into the area for employment, a church was started.
