Western District Conference

Description: A country church began in 1914 with ten families. Grew to 100 attendance, started a women's group and Vacation Bible School. Group has 10 family groups again. No pastor since 1969. Each family takes charge of a Sunday worship service. We take part in the worship service; also each one has a turn for special music. We have services on Sunday nights--Rev. Clifford Koehn brings a sermon on two Sunday nights; one Sunday night is Christian Endeavor. We have special services once a year, soon after Easter.
Founded: 1914
Members/Covenanted Attendees: 6
History: In 1903 some moved from Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on Indian Territory to Fort Cobb and Carnegie, Oklahoma. We met in homes and schools until 1914. Services were in German until 1941. Women's mission groups and Vacation Bible School began then. Congregation grew to 100. We had a young peoples group and six resident pastors served us. Our current pastor helps in the community and with the sale and canner and welcomes those that come to worship with us. We have special services (used to be called revival meetings)with other pastors. No resident pastor has been with us 1969. We carry on with God's help.
