Description: Manhattan Mennonite Fellowship, an inclusive peace-centered, mission-oriented congregation, worships in Manhattan and draws congregants from the metropolitan area. MMF seeks to live the Anabaptist vision in the city.
Founded: 1988
Members/Covenanted Attendees: 62
History: Manhattan Mennonite Fellowship began as a group of Mennonite students and young adults living in New York City. This group wrote and signed a covenant in 1988. The next year they commissioned a minister to lead them. In the years since the signing of that covenant, they have worked to be a mission-oriented church, supporting the 50+year old ministry of hospitality at Menno House as well as participating in city-wide peace activities. Valuing the Anabaptist tradition, the congregation also lends its support to the Peace and Anabaptist Library housed within Menno House.
