Description:   Salem Mennonite commits to hear and live God's call to be followers of Jesus Christ and to grow as a worshipping community of faith and reconciliation, where peace, joy and healing are experienced in the church and shared with others.

History:   Salem Mennonite was organized in 1961 by members of outlying sister congregations who resided in the area and felt a need for a church in Salem. Currently most members have Anabaptist roots; serve in professional roles, especially health and education; and come from a wide geographical area. All ages are represented with activities for Children, Youth, Young Adults and Adults alike. Some of the outreach programs we currently focus on supporting are: a local neighborhood Community Center that is hosted at our church, a weekly tutoring program with a nearby elementary school and Adult ESOL classes.
