History: First Mennonite began in 1879 as the Pleasant Grove Mennonite Church. The congregation relocated to a new building in Morton in 1941 and became Morton Mennonite. The name was changed to First Mennonite in 1961. A larger facility was built and dedicated at the present site in 1965. Our congregation emphasizes worship, fellowship, evangelism, discipleship, and service for children, youth and adults. We continually seek to enhance ministries meeting present and anticipated needs in our community.
