History:   Englewood Mennonite (formerly known as Union Avenue Mennonite Church) started as a predominantly Anglo-European mission oriented congregation reaching out with Vsers in a community in transition to African-American. Over the years since 1957 programs for children, to gang members, for food sharing and low income housing have been done.
